Chrysler Pacifica Earns Top Safety Pick+ Rating from IIHS

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has been enjoying quite the year since its debut. Delivering more than 30 innovations to its segment, Pacifica recently earned recognition on WardsAuto's list of 10 Ten User Experiences for 2016. The accolades continue to pour in for the unprecedented minivan as the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety recently awarded it a Top Safety Pick+ Designation.

In addition to scoring the highest rating of "good" for all five crashworthiness assessments, Pacifica also offers a Forward Collision Warning-Plus system that earned a score of "superior" for front crash prevention. The achievement is one more feather in the cap for FCA US LLC, which created the minivan segment more than 30 years ago.

“Having sold more than 14 million minivans since inventing the segment in 1983, we know what’s important to minivan buyers,” says Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands – FCA North America. “The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is the sum of all the knowledge we’ve accumulated about minivans and the people who are proud to own them. Among the things we know – safety is one of the most important purchase reasons and achieving the Top Safety Pick+ rating helps to establish Pacifica as the segment leader.”
