Sedan or SUV?

We have a wide selection of vehicles on our lot here at Ed Koehn Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. The sedan has been the iconic American car for decades, but the SUV has become more and more popular. Should you get a sedan, or an SUV? Each one has its perks, and is better for a different kind of driver.

We have many different SUVs for you to pick. There's the Dodge Durango, Dodge Journey, Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler... the list goes on and on. For sedans, we carry the Dodge Charger and the Chrysler 300.

SUVs are taller and heavier than sedans. You sit up higher, making it easier for you to see your surroundings, although this does negatively affect fuel economy. SUVs are more likely that sedans to offer all-wheel drive (although AWD is available on both the Dodge Charger and the Chrysler 300). SUVs are available in more body styles than sedans are. While both are available in subcompact styles, SUVs can get a lot bigger. SUVs offer three-row models for carrying more passengers and cargo; sedans can only seat up to five, but there are SUVs that can sit up to eight. The only sedans that can carry that many people are limousines, and that's probably not what you're looking for.

SUVs are also better for off-roading. Now, it's important to remember that this doesn't apply to all SUVs. However, if you want to take a trip off the beaten path, there are SUVs like the Jeep Wrangler that are ready for the task. If you'd like to learn a little more about sedans and SUVs, come talk to us here in Greenville, MI. We're here to help.
